How we rank
The Overall score is calculated mechanically by our algorithm.
Each data point has two settings: an importance tier (1 = most important, 2 = medium, 3 = least) and a direction (is lower or higher better?). For example, Price sits in tier 1 (most important) with direction low (lower is better), while ad blocker sits in tier 3. For each provider the values are normalized against the lowest and highest value across providers and combined into a score between 0 and 100.
